Sadsbury Township Public Works Department
The Township employs two full time, and three part time staff to maintain the roads and Enola Trail. The Townships full time employees Greg and Adam will be seen regularly, the part time staff is used as needed throughout the year. This spring you will see the Public Works Department cleaning gutters, grading dirt roads, and mowing road banks in the township. Recently, the Township awarded a Seal Coat Contract to Asphalt Industries, Inc. Asphalt Industries will install what is commonly referred to as "tar and chip" later in the season on Mount Pleasant Road, Bartville, School House, Newport Road, Simmontown, and Williams Run Road. Prior to Asphalt Industries, you will see the Public Works department preparing the roads. The roads may be closed at times or signed for work zones. In additional, patch work, commonly referred to as "skin patching", will be installed on Windy Top Road, Jackson Road, Brick Mill Road, Lower Valley Road, and Creek Road. The Township has several other small projects planned for the season.
